Only gonna talk about the stuff that I got into, but that's not to say the stuff I don't mention isn't good. Here's a graphic of the stuff announced:
ccp flu warning
Just stop! Too many things using this as excuse for everything.
Pyra & Mythra in Smash
Funny reveal and kind of a surprise (thought it was actually another Xenoblade game?), plus I expected another 3RD party character instead. When Terry Bogard was revealed Mr. Sakurai only mentioned Mai Shiranui was too naughty to to be include in any way yet the busty Pyra & Mythra will be playable characters in Smash? Granted, their designs are toned down in bust, bounce & skin but I find it a bit unfair they're in but Mai can't even be a background character in Terry's stage?
Famicom Detective Club
Been rumored for a while, glad it's finally coming. Nintendo has a backlog of Japan-only franchises/games that should come over here. I'm not into visual novel games but they updated these games making them look like that which should be big with people who like that. Much of that audience has moved from PS Vita to Switch and the following is growing in the west. The treatment (Famicom) Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light got over here with it's 30TH Anniversary Edition was awesome and I hope for more of that but maybe it didn't didn't so well since they don't seem to be doing the same for Famicom Detective Club? Japan gets the special edition but maybe not even a physical release in the West? Only downloads mentioned on nintendo.com, but here the Collector's Edition on play-asia:
Samurai Warriors 5
Ever since Nintendo x Tecmo/Koei Musou love started I've felt Tecmo/Koei clicks more with Nintendo...if Nintendo were to ever aquire any major 3RD party, it'd probably be them in my opinion.
Legend of Mana
Mana fits with Nintendo, good to see that Square/Enix see's this...now bring over the Secret of Mana 3D remake, fools! Looks like a good remaster of the old PlayStation game and it's nice they have the old & new soundtracks included. There was a rumor floating around that Sony was buying Square/Enix...but seems BS with all this Nintendo x Square/Enix love. Will there be a physical release, though?
Monster Hunter Rise
I like the Monster Hunter franchise, but it's kinda too big for me to get back into and I couldn't devote the time to it now. This will be huge for Switch, though...especially in Japan where Nintendo is already so dominant.
Mario Golf Super Rush
Not really in Mario sports, sports video games or sports in general, but I still give a mention 'cos of some of the nice features: embracing motion controls, speed golf, story + Mii + rpg.
Capcom Arcade Stadium
Much rather this be physical.
Stubbs the Zombie
This got me excited to see a once X-Box exclusive game (made with the Halo engine) on Nintendo and I always wanted to play it. But again, will there be a physical release?
No More Heroes III
They made the biggest deal about Travis fighting aliens which is puzzling to me since we've known that since the announcement trailer. Got a date on it. But again, will there be a physical release?
Neon White
Looks interesting but the main reason I mention it is the voice of Spike (Cowboy Bebop) narrates it.
Miitopia
Thought it was street pass on switch, but maybe in the future. Interesting, but I loved Street Pass on 3DS and it's a missed opportunity not to do it with Switch. A dream: Mii caricatures + Animal Crossing + Miitopia + Miitomo + Street Pass + Tomodachi Life in one cross-game hub!
Animal Crossing x SMBros 35th Anniversary
Working Warp Pipes in Animal Crossing, awesome! Another dream: Animal Crossing crossovers with even more games and I don't just mean with LOZ (which I'm sure is coming), but with many other Nintendo and non-Nintendo games.
Project Triangle Strategy
Octopath Traveler look + Fire Emblem-esque turn-based strategy, but I heard too much words/story in the demo. Not my thing, but mentioning it to show that there's more Nintendo x Square/Enix love.
Star Wars Hunters
Not enough shown, but I'm slightly interested in something Star Wars. There's potential, but: EA.
Knockout City
EA ruins everything, meh art style, but they made a big deal about this. There's potential, but again: EA.
Ninja Gaiden Master Collection
I like collections and Ninja Gaiden so I may get this. Just have to mention the rumors (and personal want) for Ryu Hayabusa in Smash. This shows more Nintendo x Tecmo/Koei love.
Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection
Liking the co-op, reminding me of Capcom's Magic Sword. Nice lookin' remake, here's an original x remake comparison video:
Mr. Aonuma
He's kind of a downer. Breath of the Wild delay, of course. I really agree with Sean Malstrom on Mr. Aonuma:
Skyward Sword HD
Motion or button controls and new Joy Cons are good, but again I agree with Malstrom that it's cheap to mention it's the origin of innovations in Breath of the Wild, but: Aonuma style. Also notice it has no other LOZ competition yet as they're not talking about LOZ 35TH Anniversary until Mario's 35TH is over first so they're trying to push it as a good Zelda (it's Wii launch came with an orchestrated OST CD & Gold Wii Remote and that didn't sell it, either. The collector in me is getting it, but Breath of the Wild it is not.
Splatoon 3
Had a Borderlands desert feel? And why was it announced so early? A lil' confusing, but okay.
Here's the Japanese Direct which has a couple of different things to maybe check out:
