Newer place in Belmont. I dunno who or what Billie Gold is or means but I found this place a lil' pretentious. I could see how today's 'modern woman' would like it (as droves of them kept going in'n'out while I was there) and it has it's charm but I was just trying to get a feel for what I wanted and I felt uncomfy in there. They had their own mixes of bubble tea's there but you could also build your own which Sarah did...she loved it of course, down to the cutesy straws you could pic out to stab the smiley face with but the one...female...who rang us out was...she reminded me of the Portlandia Lesbian Bookstore owners. Whatever, I like bubble tea, but they ruined it by putting ice in it...so less drink, watered down by the ice and impossible to get the boba without sucking up chucks of ice. Without the ice the "937 Lemonade" as a good mix of flavors and was yummy...but there's a bunch of other boba tea places I could try without the discomfort I felt there.
Service is half the experience. Good food tastes worse with lacking service.
