Newer place in Belmont, gave it a try as we were walking up'n'down the street...they had me at "ribs". I love trying new places and I liked the feel of the place...it is as it says: a saloon with bar food. Waitress gave great service, actually listened to us (I said no ice in my cherry Coke and Sarah said well done for her steak) and we got what we ordered and answered our query's since it was our first time there. White cheddar mac'n'cheese & mashed potatoes with gravy were my sides and they were good...you could really tell in-house made. The ribs were described as "fall off the bone"...they weren't and the mean was a bit tough and the bones were like bent curvy (hard to eat)...probably wasn't a good cut of ribs...yet...still very good, namely 'cos of the house made bbq sauce on it! I tasted bbq, like a tart jelly and pepper seasoning that really was homemade and made even a tough cut of ribs taste great.
Great atmosphere, home cooking and good service. Again, service is half the experience.
